About the Event
Remember the session on Investing in Private Markets (Session 5) in your Foundations course? If not, don't worry! Your next Study Session with Aunnie – a Foundations course refresher session – will bring it back to life, taking a look at venture capital! Speaker: Lyndsey Boucherle, Partner at Better Ventures
Lyndsey is a Partner at Better Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm based in Oakland, California. She invests in mission-driven founders leveraging science and technology to solve challenges across environmental sustainability, healthcare, and economic opportunity (education and workforce development). In addition to her role at Better Ventures, she is committed to supporting female and diverse founders and is an active volunteer and mentor through All Raise. She is also Board Chair for Farming Hope, a non-profit providing work training for the formerly incarcerated and unhoused.
Prior to Better Ventures, Lyndsey spent over a decade in finance with UBS in Switzerland, Hong Kong, and the US. She helped launch initiatives bringing together the bank’s sustainable investing and social impact offerings, and co-led a global program sourcing financial solutions to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals. From corporates to early-stage startups, she is passionate about the role companies can play in catalyzing significant and scalable positive impact in the world.
