We are a membership-based programme that aims to empower women to have greater involvement in the management of their wealth and finances. Our members benefit from a world class curriculum of educational content created for female wealth holders, a connected community of like-minded women, and user-friendly wealth management tools that provide women with the confidence and ability to make informed and purposeful investment decisions (the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy covers any personal information we might collect from you or which we have obtained about you from a third party: (1) in connection with the Services we provide to our Members, (2) where you provide services to us as a Supplier, and (3) when you visit our website at www.thebeamnetwork.com (“Website”). 

Our Website and Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children. It is important that you read this Privacy Policy together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal information about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This Privacy Policy supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

Who collects information about you?

The Beam Network collects, uses and is responsible for certain personal information about you. When we do so we are responsible as ‘controller’ of that personal information. When we refer to “The Beam Network”, “we”, “our”, “us” or “the Company” in this Privacy Policy we are referring to The Beam Network Ltd (company number 12795599). Useful Terms

“Members” means anyone who is a member of The Beam Network’s membership-based programme to whom we provide the Services. Members also include prospective members, such as individuals who have applied to become a member but whose application is yet to be determined.

“Suppliers” means those external vendors and suppliers that provide services to The Beam Network. Suppliers include guest speakers who may be approached or engaged to speak at an event held by The Beam Network.

“Website Visitors” means individuals who visit our Website and who may opt to provide us with personal information to request further information or to receive marketing communications from us.

“Personal information” (or “personal data”) means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (i.e., anonymous data).

  • Technical Data such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this Website.

  • Usage Data which may include information about how you use our Website.

  • Membership Data such as your membership number, date of membership payment, membership renewal date, and sessions and events attended.

  • Biographical Data such as reasons for applying to join as a Member, overview of current financial situation, interests, estimated assets under control, and source of wealth, employment history, and other profile information available on professional networking sites including LinkedIn.

  • Audio/Visual Data including your image and/or voice. 

  • Marketing and Communications Data including your preferences in receiving marketing or other communications from us.
     

How do we use your personal information?

Members

We will collect your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Biographical Data in order to administer and assess your application to become a member of our membership-based programme. If your application is accepted, we will collect your Financial Data to receive payment for the Services. If you attend online or in-person sessions or events run by The Beam Network, we may collect your Audio/Visual Data in the process of recording sessions to make them available to Members after the event.

As a Member, we may also use:

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Biographical Data to administer and manage our relationship with you, such as responding to communications.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Membership Data to send transactional and service messages in relation to your membership.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, Membership Data, Technical Data, and Usage Data to provide customer service and support.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, Membership Data, Technical Data, Usage Data, Audio/Visual Data, and Biographical Data for other business purposes, such as research and analysis, business development and planning, determining the effectiveness of, and improving, the Services.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Marketing and Communications Data to send you information which we think you may find interesting (such as details about future sessions and events), in accordance with your marketing preferences.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, Membership Data, and Financial Data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Any of the categories of personal data listed above as necessary to help us establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

 

Suppliers

If you are a Supplier, we collect Identity Data, Contact Data, Biographical Data, and Financial Data about you, or individuals at your organisation, in the course of receiving services from you. If you are engaged a) to deliver online or in-person educational classes, or b) to appear at a session or event run by us as a guest speaker, we  may collect your Audio/Visual Data in the process of recording sessions to make them available to Members after the event.

As a Supplier, we may also use:

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Biographical Data to store (and update where necessary) your contact details on our database, so that we can contact you in relation to our agreements and the services you provide.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Biographical Data To administer and manage our business relationship with you and to obtain services from you.

  • Your Identity Data, Contact Data, and Financial Data to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Any of the categories of personal data listed above as necessary to help us establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
     

Website Visitors

If you are a Website Visitor, we may collect Identity Data and Contact Data about you where you contact us or submit any web forms on our Website. We will also automatically collect Technical Data and Usage Data about you through our and our technology partners’ use of cookies and similar technologies. You may receive marketing communications from us if you are a Member or you have requested to receive further information and, in each case, you have not opted-out of receiving that marketing.

Please note that opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of receiving important business communications.
