It's time to tackle the documents that often have you flummoxed in meetings, board rooms and news reports: financial statements! In this series of sessions, we'll discuss income statements, balance sheets and cash flows line-by-line and the ratios that we use to interpret them. We'll work on real case studies and walk through the analysis necessary to make sense of a company's performance.
In week 1, we'll do a review of financial statements and ratios with exercises designed to help you understand the logic of their flow and content.
In week 2, we'll have Selma Ribica, a seasoned VC investor, join us to walk through an example of her own, which will include how she approaches financial statements and how she walks through her analysis.
In week 3, we'll invite you to bring a company that you'd enountered and help you continue to build your skills by walking through the company analysis and decision making.
